Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has once again increased its shareholders ranks with the addition of Anthony D. Kuchulis in its Portland, Ore., office. Kuchulis joins the firm from Barran Liebman LLP.
“Anthony will be a valuable resource to employers in Oregon and beyond who are facing a constantly evolving regulatory landscape,” said Douglas S. Parker, Portland Office Managing Shareholder. “A skilled litigator who has represented a wide range of companies inside and outside of the courtroom, Anthony’s background will be a great benefit to our clients, particularly given his understanding of matters before state and federal courts and in front of a wide variety of regulatory agencies.”
Kuchulis has extensive experience defending employers in jury trials, class actions, mediations and arbitrations. He has achieved favorable outcomes in matters involving discriminations claims, leaves of absences, retaliation and other employment issues for clients in a range of industries, including higher education, transportation and logistics. Kuchulis also regularly counsels clients on compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and with issues related to pay equity, termination of employees, and unfair competition and trade secrets.
“Littler has a well-deserved reputation as the world’s leading labor and employment law firm,” Kuchulis said. “I’m excited to join the talented team here in Portland and to be part of a firm with such an impressive global platform and dedication to innovating the practice of law.”
Kuchulis received his J.D., with honors, from Lewis & Clark Law School and his B.A. from the University of Oregon. Earlier in his career, Kuchulis served as law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice and tried cases with the Clackamas County and Deschutes County District Attorneys’ offices.
