Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Elizabeth “Bitsy” Hester has joined the firm as a Business & Corporate Partner in the Richmond office. Ms. Hester has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures and corporate governance matters involving corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships.
“Bitsy’s experience will provide great value to our team and our clients,” Business & Corporate practice Chair Greg Bishop said. “She is a skilled attorney who significantly deepens our corporate team, particularly in M&A matters.”
Ms. Hester capably serves as outside counsel for public and private companies from numerous industries looking to grow, including agriculture, health care, real estate, retail and manufacturing. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© (2006-present) and Virginia Super Lawyers magazine (2006-2012, 2014-present), and she has been named among Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine (2009, 2011-2012, 2015).
Ms. Hester is active in both the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Virginia Bar Association (VBA). She has served on the ABA’s Business Law Section Committee of LLCs, Partnerships and Unincorporated Entities since 1989, and she is a former chair of the VBA’s Business Law Section.
She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, as well as an M.B.A. and a B.S. from Oklahoma State University.
