Curtis announces the arrival of a new Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions partner, Filippo Palmieri, in the international law firm’s Rome office. He joins a thriving corporate team in Rome, which works closely with the firm’s attorneys in Italy and other practitioners worldwide.
Mr. Palmieri was previously a counsel at Baker McKenzie’s Rome office, where he handled several national and cross-border mergers and de-mergers, acquisitions, privatizations, and initial public offerings (IPOs), with a special focus in the packaging industry. He has authored many comparative corporate law publications and is an adjunct professor at the University of Macerata.
“Curtis’ practice in Italy has witnessed a strong growth momentum. This prominent hire and addition to our highly regarded team there reiterates our commitment to continued growth and investment in Italy,” Curtis managing partner Matias A. Vega commented.
Curtis Italy managing partner Galileo Pozzoli said, “Filippo has a diverse corporate background advising both international and Italian clients on complex high-value cross-border transactions. He will be a strong addition to our growing practice and capabilities in Italy and very valuable for our cross border deals at a firm-wide level.”
Mr. Palmieri said, “I am delighted to be a part of Curtis’ successful practice in Italy, with extremely talented and esteemed colleagues, and look forward to my continued professional growth leveraging their global platform.”
The hire of Mr. Palmieri marks the continuous growth trajectory in the firm’s Italian operations at a time when few other international firms are focusing on the market. The firm’s Italian offices have witnessed significant growth across their real estate, corporate and banking and finance practices.
