Dentons expands in Rome with Partner Aian Abbas

Dentons has strengthened its Corporate, M&A and Private Equity practices with the hire of Partner Aian Abbas who joins from Ashurst – where she was a corporate partner – along with associate Alma De Rosa and trainee Violetta Cozzone.

Aian Abbas has extensive experience in corporate, private equity and M&A matters, with a particular focus on corporate finance and leveraged finance transactions. Her major deals include advising Oakley Capital on the acquisition of Facile.it and Mutui.it and assisting Quercus and Swisslife in the acquisition of ASI.

Ms. Abbas and her team will be based in Dentons’ new Rome office, which opened in July 2016. The Corporate M&A team in Italy counts now 17 professionals, including four partners.

Dentons also recently hired two new associates for its Milan office: Ludovica Balbo di Vinadio, who joined the Corporate M&A group from Audisio e Associati law firm, as well as Marco Groppo, who joined the Real Estate practice from CBA Studio Legale Tributario.
