Dentons Hires New Project Finance Partner Giovanni Diotallevi in Rome

Dentons has announced the hire of partner Giovanni Diotallevi to develop and lead the project finance team within the Banking and Finance practice in Italy. He will focus also on cash flow based transactions. Mr Diotallevi joins the Rome office, along with managing counsel Andrea De Luca Picione and associate Stefania Verroca, from Italian law firm Chiomenti where he worked for 17 years, of which 15 years as a partner.

Mr Diotallevi has significant experience in project finance in the infrastructure, transportation, telecommunications, energy, water and services sectors.

Highlights of his professional career include advising on the project finance structuring for the A25 highway, the project bond issued for the refinancing of the Passante di Mestre, the financing of Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway, and the financing of the SS 106 Jonica. Moreover he has assisted renewable energy clients and leading investment funds in the structuring of their investments, including non-recourse financing. He has advised leading non-EU companies in relation to investments in strategic sectors with a specific focus on energy and has also advised major contractors and construction companies on road, hydroelectric, parking and hospital concessions, both in Italy and abroad.

Dentons has also recently hired two new lawyers in its Milan office. Associate Davide Petris joined the Litigation and Arbitration team from Portolano Cavallo and associate Andrea Benedetti joined the Real Estate team from Hi.Lex Avvocati Associati.
