Fisher & Phillips LLP, a labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the opening of a new office in Sacramento, helmed by Alden Parker, who joins as the regional managing partner. He is joined by Katherine Sandberg, an associate. Both attorneys were with the firm Weintraub Tobin.
“We are pleased to add a fifth office in California, in the important city of Sacramento. This will not only give us an office in the state capital, it will also allow us to expand our client services throughout the Central Valley,” said Roger Quillen, chairman of Fisher & Phillips. “We are confident that Alden Parker is the right lawyer to start and lead our office there.”
Parker has extensive experience defending a broad range of claims, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour violations. He also has experience before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the California Labor Commissioner. He also offers clients advice and counsel on workplace legal issues. Parker was a founding partner and leader of a California employment law firm and, more recently, a shareholder at Weintraub Tobin.
“As a leading labor and employment law firm, Fisher & Phillips is the right firm for my clients,” said Parker. “I look forward to expanding the firm’s footprint and reputation on a statewide and national level and to delivering quality legal services to the surrounding Sacramento community and beyond.”
Parker has been named to the Employment and Labor section of Northern California Super Lawyers from 2013 to 2015 and is listed in the Employment and Labor section of Sacramento Magazine’s Top Lawyers List for 2015. He received his J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1998 and his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego in 1994.
