Rimon Law Welcomes Employment Attorney Robert Cocchia as Partner in its San Diego Office

Rimon Law welcomes Robert Cocchia as a Partner on its Employment, Litigation, and Technology teams in the firm’s San Diego Office. Mr. Cocchia joins Rimon from Dentons where he also was Partner.

Mr. Cocchia concentrates his practice on employment litigation and employment counseling, consumer class actions, and complex business/commercial disputes.

At Rimon, Mr. Cocchia joins a team with decades of complex litigation experience. In the last year alone, Rimon has brought on litigation partners Jason Xu (D.C.), Dirk Hamann (Berlin), and Alan Chen (L.A.).The Litigation team counsels and defends clients in matters involving sensitive negotiation strategies, complex business transactions, sophisticated technology disputes, products liability, and personal injury cases.

Mr. Cocchia has guided clients through all aspects and stages of litigation, in addition to providing employment law counseling and advice. He was trial counsel for the defendant in Goldman v. Radioshack Corporation, a class action case in federal court in Pennsylvania involving alleged wage and hour violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The case resulted in a complete defense verdict after a three-week jury trial. Bob was also lead trial counsel for a large government contractor in a discrimination and whistle-blower retaliation case, tried in federal court in California, which resulted in a jury awarding Plaintiff no damages.

Mr. Cocchia earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and a B.S. summa cum laude from Babson College.
