Shartsis Friese LLP announced today that Nicole P. Dogwill has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Group. Dogwill represents companies in complex and class action litigation involving breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, antitrust, unfair competition/business practices, and related contract and tort claims. She was previously a partner with Winston & Strawn in San Francisco.
The firm had previously announced the promotion of three women associates to the partnership effective January 1, 2013. Christina Mickelson Hamilton is now a partner in the Investment Funds and Advisers Group and Larisa Meisenheimer and Lisa Jacobs are new partners in Litigation. The firm now has eight women partners.

Shartsis, Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Group. “2012 was a strong year for our Litigation Group and with the addition of three new partners we’re looking forward to great things in 2013.” The firm’s Litigation group now has 27 lawyers, including 18 partners.
Dogwill is President-Elect of the National LGBT Bar Association. She was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 LGBT Attorneys by the Association for 2010. Dogwill advises and defends leading established and emerging companies, as well as their directors and officers. She has significant experience handling shareholder and creditor derivative and direct litigation against directors and officers.

Dogwill received a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Michigan in 1994 and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 1998, where she was managing editor of the MSU College of Law.
