The global law firm Jones Day has announced today that Kari Erickson Levine has joined the Firm as a partner in the San Francisco Office, where she will be a member of Jones Day’s Labor & Employment Practice. Ms. Levine arrives from the San Francisco office of Seyfarth Shaw, where she practiced for 18 years and was a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice.
Ms. Levine focuses on the representation of employers in all aspects of employment law and litigation, including state and federal employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and Title III ADA access litigation. She has a primary emphasis on defending employers sued in employment-related class actions and EEOC pattern or practice lawsuits brought in federal and state courts throughout the United States. Ms. Levine began her practice in 1990 as a Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office. She is a seasoned trial attorney, having taken more than twenty cases to trial in public and private practice. She has handled a number of the highest profile EEO and ADA access cases in California in recent years.

Ms. Levine is the seventh Labor & Employment lawyer in San Francisco, joining 20 others in California, and more than 130 labor and employment lawyers Firmwide. With the addition of Ms. Levine, there are now 88 lawyers in the San Francisco Office, which opened in 2003.
