The San Francisco office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Buck Endemann as a partner in the energy and environmental law practices. He joins K&L Gates from Paul Hastings LLP.
Endemann advises on a variety of energy and environmental matters, including the regulatory aspects of renewable energy and infrastructure projects in California and throughout the western United States, and air, water, and waste compliance issues and remediation projects. He has represented clients before the California Public Utilities Commission, California Department of Toxic Substances Control, Los Angeles Department of Water Resources, and Water Replenishment District of Southern California as well as in litigation matters in several state and federal courts. His experience also includes advising on primary state and federal environmental and species laws such as the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability (Superfund); Resource Conservation and Recovery; National Environmental Policy; California Environmental Quality; Endangered Species; Migratory Bird Treaty Protection; and Bald and Golden Eagle Protection acts.
“Buck’s recruitment fills a long-standing need for experienced energy and environmental regulatory counsel in California,” said Edward Sangster, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ San Francisco office. “His addition will enable the firm to leverage its energy and environmental practices much more effectively in this region.”
Endemann is the fourth partner addition to the San Francisco office in the past six months, following the earlier arrivals of Eric Save (corporate/M&A), Sasha Burstein (investment management), and Jason Novak (intellectual property).
