-San Francisco, CA.- International law firm Keller and Heckman LLP announces Partner Rohit Sabnis has joined the Litigation practice in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Mr. Sabnis has a broad and diverse practice encompassing commercial disputes, environmental, and toxic tort, including California Proposition 65, products liability, food and beverage, and the defense of claims made under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). He handles complex matters involving private plaintiffs, as well as government agencies and prosecutors. He serves as lead trial counsel for clients ranging from small privately held organizations to multi-national corporations.
“Rohit’s portfolio of litigation capabilities is immense,” said Robert Niemann, co-chair of Keller and Heckman’s Litigation Practice. “He has litigated high stakes cases before state and federal trial and appellate courts. His litigation experience couples well with the firm’s regulatory practice in food and beverages and California’s Proposition 65.”
“There are times when litigation is unavoidable,” said Richard Mann, Chair of Keller and Heckman’s Management Committee. “Adding Partner Rohit Sabnis, an accomplished litigator, to our nationally recognized litigation practice further enhances the firm’s capabilities in assisting our clients in minimizing litigation risks and achieving favorable outcomes.”
Mr. Sabnis made a strategic decision to join Keller and Heckman. “My litigation practice has and continues to evolve towards matters involving scientific, technical, and regulatory issues, making Keller and Heckman a natural fit,” said Mr. Sabnis. “By moving to Keller and Heckman, an international firm with scientists and extensive capabilities in regulatory matters, I am able to provide my clients with a full suite of legal services in both the U.S. and abroad.”
Mr. Sabnis’ skill set complements Keller and Heckman’s existing Litigation practice, which represents clients in a full range of environmental, employment, food, and commercial litigation, including breach of contract, intellectual property, unfair business practices, antitrust, consumer protection, insurance, and franchise disputes. The firm’s Litigation practice is eager to introduce Mr. Sabnis to their clients.
Mr. Sabnis received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota and his B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Sabnis worked as a research assistant in molecular biology laboratories at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute.
