O’Melveny announced today that one of Korea’s leading M&A lawyers, Woojae Kim, has joined the firm as a partner based in Seoul. Before joining O’Melveny Woojae was a partner at Kim & Chang, one of Korea’s largest domestic law firms and a corporate partner in an AmLaw 100 firm in Seoul. He also previously practiced in both New York and Hong Kong, giving him a rare, Asia-regional and international perspective and approach.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that partner Paul J. Kim has joined the firm’s Corporate & Securities Group in Seoul, South Korea. He was most recently a partner at McDermott Will & Emery in its Seoul and New York offices, where he led that firm’s Seoul office until its closure earlier this month. Chang joins K&L Gates from the Tokyo office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he was a senior counsel.
