Anderson Mori & Tomotsune is pleased to announce that we opened our Shanghai Office on September 1, 2013 with the approval of the Ministry of Justice of China.
Our firm established its Beijing Office in the 1990s, and has been a leading pioneer in providing China-related legal services. With the establishment of our new office in Shanghai, which is the center of business and finance in China, we will further expand our capabilities to provide services relating to Japan-China matters.
Akira Moriwaki, who previously served as the Chief Representative of our Beijing Office for almost six years, has been appointed the Chief Representative of our new Shanghai Office. He aims to quickly establish our firm’s position as the leader in Shanghai among Japanese law firms, as well as make our Shanghai Office a central part of our international practice, particularly in Asia and other emerging countries, by using his abundant experience on projects in Myanmar and other Asian countries during the past several years.
