Leading China Employment Lawyer Joins Faegre Baker Daniels as Partner in Shanghai

Faegre Baker Daniels is pleased to announce that Kevin L. Jones has joined its Shanghai office as partner, becoming the head of the firm’s labor and employment practice in China. Kevin has been recognized as a leading employment lawyer in China by Legal 500 for three consecutive years (2010, 2011 and 2012) and Chambers Asia for two consecutive years (2011 and 2012).

Kevin has been based in Greater China for more than 16 years. He advises on all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, and has represented many of the world’s leading companies. He has a particular focus on staffing issues arising from acquisitions and other re-organizations, strategic employment counseling, employee hiring and termination, establishment and enforcement of company polices, advising on trade union issues, drafting and negotiating collective contracts, labor disputes and anti-corruption compliance.
He has wide industry experience having represented or advised multinationals in the retail, luxury apparel and goods, manufacturing, entertainment, airline, energy, information technology, telecommunications, healthcare, biotechnology and energy sectors.

Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Kevin was with DLA Piper in Shanghai.  He earned his J.D. from the Rutgers School of Law and his B.S. (in Business Administration) from Miami University.
