The Shanghai office of global law firm Eversheds has appointed a team of four employment lawyers from Salans LLP. The team is led by Dr. Iris Duchetsmann, formerly Of Counsel and head of the China labour law team in Salans’ Shanghai office, who joins Eversheds as a partner.
Iris specialises in labour law, with a focus on cross-border employment and international HR management. Her clients include leading companies from the financial services, chemicals, automotive and education sectors. She also provides advice on matters such as residency, tax and social security.
Iris’s career spans across China and Germany, where she is also a trained labour lawyer. She currently sits as Vice Chair of the European Chamber of Commerce for the China Human Resources Forum and serves as member of the Shanghai Board.
Iris brings with her Cynthia Zheng, Weihuan Xu and Lixia Li, who join Eversheds as associates.
