Foley and Lardner hired attorney Frederic Adam for its Tax group. The partner joins from KPMG and brings 18 years of experience to Foley. Adam is a graduate of the University of Denver College of Law and holds an LLM in tax from NYU.
Partner Scott Smith was recruited by Dorsey & Whitney for their Palo Alto office. Smith focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the medical device / pharmaceutical sector. He holds a Ph.D. in medicine from the University of Arizona and a J.D. from Ohio State.
Reed Smith hired Judy Deng as counsel for its Silicon Valley office. The attorney, who joins from Pillsbury, practices corporate and investment funds related law. She is a fluent Mandarin speaker, holding degrees from Fudan University in Shanghai and an LLM from Boalt Hall.
