Latham & Watkins LLP is pleased to announce that John T. (“Jack”) Sheridan has joined the firm as a corporate partner in the Emerging Companies Practice, based in the Silicon Valley office. Sheridan’s practice focuses on advising public and venture-backed private companies primarily in the technology sector.
During his three-decade legal career, Sheridan has advised numerous public and private companies in sophisticated corporate transactions including public offerings, venture financings and M&A transactions. He has represented companies and underwriters in more than 100 public offerings, which have raised billions of dollars of capital, and has advised more than 150 companies in successfully raising venture capital financing. He also regularly counsels clients on corporate governance and other day-to-day matters.

Sheridan received his law degree in 1986 from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. In addition to his role as an attorney, Sheridan is a certified public accountant in the state of California.
Sheridan joins from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, where he practiced corporate and securities law for more than 30 years.
