FisherBroyles Welcomes David Mesa in Palo Alto.

FisherBroyles, LLP is pleased to announce David Mesa has joined the firm in Palo Alto as a partner. David joins the firm from Steptoe & Johnson where he spent the past three years in the Products Liability, Commercial Litigation and Retail & E-Commerce Groups defending many of the largest manufacturers and retailers in the United States.

David is an experienced litigator focused on complex civil disputes for clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, automobile, and consumer product industries. He specializes in products liability and commercial business disputes for clients ranging in size from regional business entities to Fortune 500 companies. He also represents many of the largest retailers in the United States in a wide range of legal matters, including significant injury and wrongful death lawsuits, commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and enforcement actions brought by private plaintiffs and government attorneys.

 He spent the first decade of his career as a litigator at Sedgwick LLP where he represented numerous Fortune 1000 product manufacturers and retailers, the nation’s largest electric utility, and one of the largest youth organizations in the United States in lawsuits involving significant injury and wrongful death.

Outside of the courtroom, David is a highly respected leader in the community and has served as president of both national and regional bar associations. He is currently serving his third year on the Board of Governors for the California Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He served four years on the Board of Governors for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) and is a past president of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association.

In 2017, NAPABA named David one of eighteen “Best Lawyers Under 40” selected across the country. In 2014, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association named him one of twelve “Rising Stars” in the nation.
