Pillsbury today announced the addition of prominent litigator David Lisi, who joins the firm’s Silicon Valley office as a partner. Well-known for his work representing technology and cyber-focused companies, Lisi’s addition expands Pillsbury’s litigation capabilities in Silicon Valley, where the firm has long offered a full line of sophisticated corporate legal services. He comes to the firm from Greenberg Traurig.
“David is a trusted advisor to many Fortune 500 and Silicon Valley clients, including Maker Studios, Limelight Networks, and Synchronoss Technologies, Inc.,” said Deborah Baum, the leader of Pillsbury’s Litigation practice section. “He is a known authority on securities litigation, privacy compliance and data security.”
Lisi focuses on complex commercial litigation, representing domestic and international companies in securities litigation and counseling, data security, commercial disputes and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He also advises companies and their boards, management teams and underwriters in class actions, mergers, corporate governance and privacy compliance. His experience includes conducting special investigations for audit and litigation committees and counseling in state competition claims, copyright infringement claims, trade secret misappropriation matters and licensing disputes.
“David has long-lasting relationships with leading technology companies and general counsel,” said David Dekker, Pillsbury’s Chair. “Many of our Silicon Valley partners have also known and worked with David over the years, so he’s a known quantity for us as well.”

Lisi admitted to practice in California, in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Ninth Circuit and in U.S. District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
