DLA Piper announced today that Joseph Myszka has joined the firm’s Tax practice as a partner in Silicon Valley. Myszka joins from Baker McKenzie.
Myszka has over a decade of experience advising global enterprises on US federal income tax issues, with a focus on resolving complex tax disputes and international tax planning. He has deep experience at all stages of federal income tax disputes, including audit preparation and management, administrative appeals, alternative dispute resolution and litigation. Myszka also advises clients on cross-border tax disputes, including permanent establishment, withholding tax and advance pricing agreement matters.
As part of his tax planning practice, Myszka is a trusted advisor to a diverse range of clients on high technology tax issues, structuring international operations, cross-border transactions, tax credit optimization and transfer pricing considerations. He has been named a “Tax Controversy Leader” by International Tax Review.

Myszka received his J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law, his M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and his B.S. from the University of Nevada.
