Khoa D. Do Rejoins DLA Piper’s Corporate Practice in Northern California

DLA Piper announced today that Khoa Do, who was previously a partner at the firm, has returned to the Corporate practice as a partner in Northern California, based out of the Silicon Valley office. Before rejoining the firm, Do served as partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP.

Do’s practice focuses on M&A transactions, ranging from mid-market to large-scale acquisitions, as well as the representation of technology companies in connection with securities, governance and general corporate matters. He regularly advises on public and private acquisitions, including strategic mergers and business combinations, asset and stock acquisitions, complex cross-border acquisitions, tender offers, divestitures and spinoffs.

“Khoa will play a major role in the continued growth of our corporate capabilities in Northern California, and his experience in handling complex M&A transactions across a variety of sectors will complement and enhance our core practice offerings,” said Eric Wang, co-chair of DLA Piper’s Northern California Corporate practice. “We are thrilled to welcome him back to the firm.”

“As we continue our strategic expansion to align with our clients’ demands, Khoa’s diverse practice will be an asset to companies in California and across our global platform as they work to execute on their strategies and meet their business goals,” said John Gilluly, global co-chair of the firm’s Corporate practice. “His skillset and experience, which span a wide range of industries, including software, semiconductors, cybersecurity, telecommunications, sports and entertainment, information technology and life sciences, will deliver significant value to our clients.”

“Khoa is a creative and collaborative practitioner whose transactional skills and experience will boost our growing corporate presence in Northern California, and the breadth and depth of DLA Piper’s global practice will be a major advantage for his clients,” said Stacy Paz, co-managing partner of the firm’s Silicon Valley office.

Do is the latest addition to the firm’s Northern California offices, which have also recently welcomed Jeff Diener, a Real Estate partner in San Francisco; Evelyn Kim, a Finance partner in San Francisco; Joseph Myszka, a Tax partner in Silicon Valley; and Tracy Shapiro, an Intellectual Property and Technology partner in San Francisco.

Do received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
