King & Spalding announced today that Joseph Halloum has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate practice group and Technology industry team. Halloum brings to the firm extensive experience leading high-profile technology and life sciences deals and expands its M&A and private equity capabilities and corporate presence in California. He is based in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Halloum arrives from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Silicon Valley.
Halloum regularly advises public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, on a wide range of domestic and international transactions, investments, corporate governance issues and other general corporate matters. His experience includes many large and notable technology M&A deals of the past several years, including multi-billion-dollar sales and acquisitions and the first-ever sale of a publicly listed public benefit corporation (PBC).

Halloum joins King & Spalding from Freshfields. He has been included in Legal 500’s M&A Powerlist and named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” at the California Legal Awards. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from University of California, Berkeley. He also teaches at Berkeley Law and the Haas School of Business, where he is the Founder and Co-Chair of the GC Executive Fellowship Program launched in partnership with Berkeley Law.
