Global law firm White & Case LLP today announced the arrival of William (Bill) Choe as a partner in the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He will be based in the Firm’s Silicon Valley office.
Bill is a prominent M&A lawyer with nearly 20 years of experience representing technology companies in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. John Reiss, Global Head of White & Case’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, said, “We are extremely focused globally on technology companies and their needs. With many existing technology clients, both based in Silicon Valley and in centers of innovation around the world, we understand very well the legal needs of major technology companies and the value that lawyers like Bill can bring to these companies.”
Choe joins from Morrison & Foerster LLP where he was a partner.
White & Case is ranked eighth globally in terms of M&A deal value for the first half of 2015 and seventh in terms of M&A deal volume by Thomson Reuters (as published by The New York Times), advising on seven of the top twenty deals and three of the top US deals so far this year, including Anthem’s $52.4 billion purchase of Cigna, Time Warner Cable’s proposed US$78.7 billion sale to Charter Communications and Omnicare’s proposed US$12.7 billion merger with CVS.
