Bryan Cave Expands International Arbitration Practice with Partner Addition in Asia

Iain Sharp has joined our firm as a partner in the Singapore office. He will practice with the International Arbitration Team and Commercial Litigation Client Service Group.

“We are excited to welcome Iain to our firm, our arbitration team and our Asia practice,” said Don Lents, Chair of the Firm. “Iain’s breadth of experience with matters involving commodities and disputes in Asia enhances our ability to address many of our clients’ needs throughout Asia, Europe and the rest of the world.”

Sharp has a wide range of experience − both contentious and non-contentious − and has been involved in matters that include international trade and commodities, oil and gas, shipping, banking and finance disputes, defense products, civil fraud, intellectual property and technology, and insurance/reinsurance. In addition to resolving disputes through litigation and alternative dispute resolution (including mediation and negotiation), he has conducted major arbitrations throughout Europe and Asia under institutional rules, ad-hoc arbitrations, and trade association rules. Sharp has particular experience handling international trade and commodity-related matters involving China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Sharp received his LPC in 1995 from De Montfort University. He received his CPE in 1994 and B.A. in 1993 from the University of Birmingham.
