Accomplished Corporate Partner With Two Decades Experience in Southeast Asia Joins Latham & Watkins in Singapore

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Farhana Sharmeen has joined the firm in Singapore as a partner in the Corporate Department. A Singapore law attorney with more than 20 years of experience covering a broad range of corporate transactions, her core practice areas are public and private mergers and acquisitions, privatizations and acquisition financing, particularly financing for public takeovers. Sharmeen joins Latham & Watkins from Withers KhattarWong in Singapore, where she was a partner.

She also advises on Singapore capital markets transactions, as well as regulatory and compliance issues for listed companies, corporate governance and general corporate matters involving the rules of the Singapore Securities Exchange, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and the Securities Industry Council.

She received her LLB from the National University of Singapore in 1996. She has been practicing in Singapore since 1996.
