Global law firm Ashurst is pleased to announce that Robert Child has joined as a partner in the restructuring, insolvency and special situations practice, based in Singapore. His addition follows the recent arrival of senior project partner Andrew Roche in the Singapore office. Joining from Clifford Chance, Robert has advised on complex multi-jurisdictional restructurings and insolvencies in both Europe and Asia.
Child has represented a wide range of stakeholders, including corporate debtors, syndicated lender groups, bondholders, distressed investor funds, insolvency officeholders, agents and trustees, including the restructurings of the Noble Group, Mongolian Mining Corporation and Jindal Steel & Power. Robert is qualified in both England & Wales and Hong Kong.
