We are pleased to announce that we have boosted our global corporate practice with the appointment of partner Eng Wee Chong to our Singapore office.
Eng Wee, who has over ten years’ experience practising at leading law firms in Singapore and as in–house counsel, advising major companies listed on the main board of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, is joined by senior associate Nadiah Masud. Together, they will considerably strengthen our corporate practice in areas such as: corporate and securities laws, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, banking and finance, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, corporate and commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance advisory and corporate secretarial work.
With a good working knowledge of foreign investment laws in China, which he gained while acting as the Representative for the Shanghai Representative Office of a previous law firm, Eng Wee has advised on various cross-border transactions with PRC elements, and frequently advises listed companies on their regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues. He has acted for both banking and financial institutions, and borrowers on facility loans and security documents. He has also been involved in corporate real estate transactions involving the sale and lease of land and buildings, and acquisitions and disposals of office, commercial and residential buildings.

This latest development in the Asia Pacific region follows recent office openings in Melbourne and Bangkok, which further increased our footprint in the region. Kennedys’ Singapore office has been operating under the name of Kennedys Legal Solutions since 1 May 2015 after entering a Joint Law Venture agreement with Singapore firm Legal Solutions LLC.
