IP Attorney David Kim Joins Stinson in St. Louis

Kim helps his clients identify, secure, and protect their intellectual property rights. He counsels his clients through various phases of product design and development and, as a former patent examiner, brings a unique perspective to the table when guiding them through the patent process. He has obtained hundreds of patents for Fortune 500 companies, and has extensive experience managing patent portfolios in a broad range of industries, including high tech, telecommunications, financial, healthcare, energy, aerospace, automotive, retail, and manufacturing. Clients seek Kim’s advice to mitigate legal risk and position themselves for growth and long-term success.

Kim earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and his B.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Kim is licensed to practice in Missouri, Virginia, and the USPTO. He is a past Fellow in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
