Scott Morgan has rejoined Thompson Coburn as a St. Louis partner in the Firm’s national class action litigation practice. Scott was previously an associate at Thompson Coburn.
“We’re delighted to welcome Scott back to Thompson Coburn’s national business litigation and class action teams,” said Chris Hohn, chair of the Firm’s 150-attorney Litigation Department. “Scott has a wealth of experience in complex class actions and multi-district litigation, and has proven himself a strong, strategic litigator. He’ll make a fantastic addition to our partnership and our litigation teams.”
Scott has extensive experience defending cases alleging consumer fraud, product defect, false advertising, unfair trade practices and various state and federal consumer protection laws. Scott has first- and second-chaired jury trials in federal and state courts throughout Missouri and Illinois, and taken and defended the depositions of corporate executives, physicians, industry experts, and other key witnesses.
In addition to consumer class actions, Scott has experience in mass tort actions involving tens of thousands of claimants and settlements of nearly $1 billion. He was selected for a national leadership team of attorneys to manage multi-district litigation for claims related to a pharmaceutical drug.
Scott earned his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. He earned a B.S. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
