Dentons Expands its Competition Offering With New Partner Appointment

Dentons continues to expand its client offering in Australia with the appointment of competition specialist, Lynsey Edgar, to the partnership in Sydney. Joining the Firm from K&L Gates, Lynsey will lead the Australia region’s Competition group.

Lynsey’s practice expands competition and regulatory issues and she regularly advises clients on cartels, anti competitive arrangements, merger clearance, exclusive dealing, misuse of market power, access, supply chain arrangements and the impact of competition law on various commercial activities. Lynsey also advises clients on consumer protection issues including misleading and deceptive conduct, product liability, consumer guarantees, unfair contract terms, advertising, and compliance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Dentons CEO Australia Ian Dardis said that the Firm is delighted to welcome Lynsey to the partnership.

“Lynsey is well-regarded for her competition and regulatory experience and her appointment reflects the calibre of new opportunities that are coming to the Firm since our combination with Dentons in December 2016.

The Firm is on a strategic growth path in Australia and will continue to build out capability and expertise in areas that reflect the needs of our clients globally.”

Lynsey Edgar on the appointment said, “I’m delighted to be joining a global firm that has a clear vision and strategy and is focused on delivering excellent outcomes for clients.

Dentons’ innovative initiatives such as NextLaw Labs and the NextLaw Global Referral Network cement the Firm as a clear leader in bringing innovative client solutions to the practice of law and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Lynsey’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Life Sciences expert, Mandi Jacobson, to the partnership in July.
