Dentons today welcomes competition and consumer partner, Elizabeth Sarofim, further enhancing the Firm’s offering for clients. Elizabeth has experience in advising clients on competition law issues in a wide range of industries and regularly advises both domestic and international clients on their rights and obligations under the Australian Competition and Consumer Act. Sarofim previously practiced with Ashurst in Sydney.
She has experience in securing ACCC clearance for merger transactions involving domestic and international clients and ensuring that commercial transactions are structured consistently with competition law requirements.
She also advises clients on ACCC investigations and enforcement actions. Elizabeth’s previous experience working at the ACCC gives her considerable experience analysing the competitive effects of mergers and enforcing Australian competition law provisions.
