Dentons is pleased to announce that Kip Daechsel has joined the Firm as a partner in our Corporate group. With more than 30 years of experience, Kip’s practices business law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, sophisticated commercial agreements and corporate governance. Kip also advises financial institutions on regulatory matters. Clients frequently seek his counsel on strategic issues.
On the private equity side, Kip coordinates the legal work of Canadian private equity firms within Canada and abroad. He also advises a European private equity firm that invests in Canada.

In addition to his Ontario-based practice, Kip is called to the Québec Bar. He has led and advised on a number of transactions and/or projects in jurisdictions throughout Canada and internationally, including the Caribbean, Colombia, Argentina, the US, Europe and the Middle East.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Queen’s University in 1978, and in 1982 an LLB (Civil Law) from Université Laval and LLB (Common Law) from Queen’s University, in 1981. He was called to both the Ontario and Québec Bars in 1984.
