Dentons Welcomes the Return of Eric Foster to its Corporate Group

Dentons is pleased to announce that Eric Foster has returned to the Firm as a partner in its Corporate group in Toronto.

Eric focuses on corporate finance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with a particular focus on the life sciences, mining, real estate and technology sectors.

Eric’s corporate finance practice includes advising issuers, securities dealers and institutional investors in a wide range of financing transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements and other forms of equity and debt financing. In his M&A practice, Eric advises acquirers and target companies on friendly and hostile takeover bids, plans of arrangement, reverse takeovers and other business combination transactions. Eric also regularly provides advice to Canadian public companies on their disclosure, corporate governance, and other corporate and securities law obligations. Additionally, Eric frequently advises start-ups and emerging companies with respect to corporate structure governance, and financing and licensing matters.

“Eric spent the first few years of his law career at Dentons as an associate, and we are delighted to welcome him back as a partner”, said Mike Kaplan, Managing Partner, Dentons’ Toronto office. “Given Eric’s depth of experience in sophisticated capital markets transactions, he will be a great addition to our bench strength in the Toronto securities and M&A practices”.

Eric graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 2006, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007
