Dentons is pleased to announce that Rebecca Kacaba and Mat Goldstein have joined the Firm in our Corporate group in Toronto, with an emphasis on serving emerging growth companies.
Rebecca is joining Dentons as a partner in its Corporate, Securities and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies groups. With wide-ranging experience in corporate finance, securities law, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Rebecca has acted as lead counsel for a range of clients from startups to large multinational corporations and public companies. Rebecca advises both domestic and international clients on cross-border and domestic M&A, private placement financings (including debt and equity offerings), corporate reorganizations and corporate governance matters. Rebecca was recognized as one of Lexpert’s Rising Stars: Canada’s Leading Lawyers Under 40 in 2015.
Mat is also joining Dentons’ Corporate and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies groups. Mat’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, venture capital and related governance matters. Mat advises startups, emerging companies, and investors—VCs and corporate venture arms—across a wide variety of sectors. Prior to joining Dentons, Mat practiced at law firms in Toronto and New York City.
Rebecca and Mat previously founded and led the startup practice at another downtown Toronto law firm.
