Bolstering its Labor & Employment Department in the Northeast region, Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Lori Armstrong Halber and Kirsten B. White as partners to the firm. Armstrong Halber and White were previously partners at Reed Smith LLP and Schwartz Hannum PC, respectively.

Armstrong Halber combines a sophisticated grasp of business strategy, extensive litigation skills and deep experience with traditional labor. She has led industry-shaping cases and defended employers before a range of courts and administrative forums, earning jury trial successes in disability, harassment and retaliation cases. Employers frequently rely on Armstrong Halber to champion their interests, including in class and collective actions, in matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She regularly represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board, advocates for clients in grievance arbitrations and provides labor relations counseling, including formulating comprehensive and strategic union avoidance tactics.
Based in the firm’s Warrington, PA office, Armstrong Halber is the regional management co-chair of the ABA Labor and Employment Section Committee on Practice and Procedure under the NLRA. Armstrong Halber also serves as an adjunct professor at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law teaching Employment Discrimination Law and a volunteer mediator with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She earned her M.B.A. and J.D. from Temple University and her B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
White, who has extensive experience with complex labor and employment law issues, focuses her practice on collective bargaining and matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act. She regularly represents clients in NLRB proceedings, labor arbitrations and collective bargaining negotiations. Her clients rely on her for pragmatic, goal-oriented labor counseling, including with respect to managing and mitigating strikes and other labor disputes, union organizing campaigns, corporate transactions, and all aspects of labor management relations and collective bargaining agreement administration. White also advises clients on compliance with a range of employment laws and counsels executive decision-makers on the management and remediation of high-stakes workplace issues. From 2009 to 2013, White served as Policy Director to then-Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden in the Office of the Vice President of the United States.
White, who will maintain a residence in Boston, MA, will be affiliated with the firm’s Washington, DC office. She earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. from Middlebury College.
