Dr. Tomasz Trocki has joined Dentons’ Warsaw office as a partner in the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy and Banking and Finance practices. In his new role as Head of the Consensual Restructuring team, Dr. Trocki will co-create a market-leading multidisciplinary restructuring practice, combining banking and finance, consensual (out-of-court) and judicial restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings and court proceedings for financial institutions. He will also strengthen relationships with key banking clients. Tomasz Trocki joins from Allen & Overy, where he was a counsel.
“Tomasz joins us at a time when restructuring projects are on the rise. He is widely recognized as one of Poland’s leading lawyers in complex out-of-court financial restructuring,” commented partner Anna Pukszto, Head of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy and Litigation and Arbitration teams.
“His knowledge and experience are an excellent addition to the skillset we already have at Dentons and will strengthen our ability to support our clients at this critical time. This applies in particular to the merger and integration of our financial and restructuring offering,” said Mateusz Toczyski, Head of the European Banking and Finance practice.
He has 14 years’ experience in restructuring and bankruptcy, with a special focus on out-of-court financial restructuring, covering many categories of creditors and liabilities. He also advises clients on asset financing, financial leverage, derivative transactions and project finance, as well as on the regulatory aspects of banking services. He is recommended by The Legal 500 EMEA and Chambers Europe as a leading restructuring and insolvency lawyer in Poland.
In parallel to his legal practice, Tomasz Trocki recently received his Doctorate of Law from the University of Warsaw, and completed the LEAD program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
