Baker Botts Strengthens Global Antitrust Practice

Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international energy, technology, and life sciences law firm, announced today that Hugh Hollman, a leading international competition expert, has rejoined the firm’s Litigation Department from A&O Shearman as an Antitrust partner in Washington, D.C.

Hollman brings over 20 years of antitrust expertise, with a career spanning private practice, in-house, and regulatory positions across the U.S., EU, Middle East, and Africa. His diverse experience provides him with a deep understanding of various regulatory and industry sectors, enhancing the firm’s capabilities in transactional, investigatory, and antitrust matters. He previously served as an Attorney Advisor in Commissioner Kovacic’s office at the Federal Trade Commission and as Chief Antitrust Counsel at one of the world’s largest and most influential companies, where he oversaw multinational transactions, antitrust litigation, and global compliance.

Hollman serves as an advisor to the Business at OECD Competition Committee, serves as a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network, and is a member of the International Bar Association’s Antitrust Section’s Merger Working Group. He also serves on the editorial boards of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law’s Antitrust Magazine and Oxford University Press’s Journal of Antitrust Enforcement.

Hollman earned his J.D. and LL.M. from Duke University School of Law.
