Eversheds Sutherland Strengthens Corporate Crime and Investigations Team

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the lateral hire of Anupreet Amole, as partner in the firm’s corporate crime and investigations team. Anupreet joins the firm today. Having begun his career at Slaughter and May, Anupreet joins the firm from Brown Rudnick where he spent several years and was the UK practice group leader for corporate crime and investigations.

Over the past decade, Anupreet has gained extensive experience advising corporate clients, including banks, energy companies, retailers, aerospace and defence companies, and ultra-high net worth individuals across a range of international litigation, investigations, compliance issues, and corporate criminality. He has also guided clients through matters around tax evasion, civil fraud, directors duties, insider dealing, and market abuse.

Zia Ullah, Partner and co-global head of corporate crime and investigations, Eversheds Sutherland comments:

“I am delighted to welcome Anupreet to the firm and to our team. Over the last five years our corporate crime and investigations team has evolved to become a market leading practice in financial crime legal and compliance advisory work, and a market disruptor in the financial crime remediation space. By building on our existing skills in fraud issues and white collar crime defence, and making significant investment in the development of our team, via promotions and lateral hires, we are able to provide our  clients a high degree of subject matter experience. The addition of Anupreet to the team will add another layer of specialism as we support our corporate clients on their complex and often high profile, investigations. We look forward to working with him.”

Anupreet Amole, Partner, litigation and disputes management comments:

“I am delighted to join Eversheds Sutherland. Clients across the firm’s practice in the UK, Europe and the US are increasingly looking for help to navigate challenging regulatory environments, including issues caused by the current era of global uncertainty. I look forward to working closely with Zia and his impressive team of highly skilled lawyers to serve the firm’s clients over the coming years.”
