Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to grow its global Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation footprint with the addition of Harry Hyunho Park as a shareholder. Park joins from BakerHostetler as an IP litigator with a strong technical background.
Park advises clients in complex IP litigation matters and brings significant experience in litigating patent infringement cases in U.S. federal district courts and Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
In addition to his more than 15 years of experience as an IP litigator, Park holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His advanced technical and legal background allows Park to quickly learn the nuances of a client’s technology – even in burgeoning areas like Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things – and clearly explain those nuances to non-technical parties in court, the boardroom, or at the negotiation table.
“We are thrilled to have an exceptional lawyer like Harry join our team as we continue to strengthen our IP litigation bench globally,” said Scott J. Bornstein, co-chair of the firm’s Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice and of the firm’s Global Patent Litigation Group. “Our U.S. and global clients are on the cutting edge of technology in their industries, and with lawyers like Harry we continue to be able to provide the technical, legal, and business counseling needed to support their commercial objectives.”
Fluent in both English and Korean, Park’s global practice includes advising a variety of clients ranging from major consumer electronic companies in South Korea to small tech startups in Silicon Valley, as well as global cosmetic companies.
“Harry’s deep technical and legal background is an excellent addition to our firm as we continue to grow our IP litigation practice globally. This addition exemplifies our commitment to serving the increasingly complex needs of our clients, particularly in South Korea, where we look forward to forge even greater relationships in the years ahead,” Seoul office Managing Shareholder C.J. Kim and firm Vice Chair Richard A. Edlin said.
“I joined Greenberg Traurig because of the firm’s global network, particularly in the U.S. and Asia, and strong IP platform, but it was ultimately the great people who I will get to work with here that drew me to the firm,” Park said. “I look forward to working hard for our clients to help them take the legal steps needed to create and protect their exciting new technologies.”
Before becoming a lawyer, Park was a researcher for a large medical device manufacturer and has also taught a law school course on patent prosecution, drawing on his significant experience with cases before the USPTO.
