Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that health lawyer and lobbyist Cybil Roehrenbeck has joined its Government Relations and Public Affairs practice in Washington D.C. as a partner. Roehrenbeck has led numerous advocacy campaigns and was Polsinelli’s Telehealth practice leader prior to joining Hogan Lovells.
Her practice includes a focus on health care innovations such as digital health, value based reimbursement, telehealth, and AI. She was previously a lobbyist and attorney for the American Medical Association, and worked on the Hill for Rep. Walter B. Jones (R-NC) and Rep. J.C. Watts, Jr. (R-OK).
“The addition of Cybil builds on our long commitment to providing clients with a dynamic bipartisan lobbying practice that not only keeps them in the know with what’s going on in D.C., but also helps them influence it,” said Ivan Zapien, head of Hogan Lovells’ Government Relations and Public Affairs practice. “With a closely divided government and a new administration just beginning to put its foot on the gas, it has never been more important for clients to have advocates on their side with deep policy experience and respect from both sides of the aisle.”
“I am excited to join Hogan Lovells, where my clients will be able to leverage the firm’s broad national and global platform to achieve their constantly changing needs,” Roehrenbeck said. “My practice focuses on helping clients, regulators, and legislators converge so the rules they have to play by don’t fall too far behind their innovative products. Joining a Global Regulatory team like the one at Hogan Lovells will make those efforts all the more seamless.”
Roehrenbeck marks the second recent significant addition to Hogan Lovells’ Life Sciences & Health Care lobbying capabilities. Earlier this year, the firm added Anna Weinstein and her more than two decades of health policy and lobbying experience as a Senior Director in the Government Relations and Public Affairs practice. Together, Weinstein and Roehrenbeck bring our clients more than 40 years of experience advising on, crafting, and helping to influence significant health policy and legislation.
“I am thrilled to have Cybil and Anna join the firm to complement and enhance the deep regulatory services provided by our Health, Pharma, and Medical Device practices,” said Alice Valder Curran, leader of the firm’s Global Regulatory & IPMT practice. “With the pandemic continuing to impact us all and the world in a health and economic crisis for the last year, we are excited to add two highly accomplished and capable women to help clients make sense of and navigate what is happening in Washington, D.C.”
