The US$2.3 billion transaction is the largest real estate investment trust (REIT) IPO in history. Hogan Lovells is acting as underwriters’ counsel to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo Securities, and Deutsche Bank Securities.
Hogan Lovells has now advised on the three largest REIT IPOs in history – last year, the firm advised Goldman Sachs & Co. and Bank of America Merrill Lynch on the US$1.1 billion IPO of the Empire State Realty Trust and in 2006, served as co-counsel to Douglas Emmett Inc. on its US$1.6 billion REIT IPO.
