Financial Services leader Dechert LLP announced today that it has expanded its broker-dealer and investment management practice with the addition of K. Susan Grafton as a partner in the Washington, DC office.
“Susan brings a wealth of experience to our firm, having worked in-house on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs, in significant positions at the SEC, and as a highly regarded private practitioner,” said Robert W. Helm, a leader of Dechert’s global Financial Services Practice. “We are extremely fortunate that she has chosen to join our broker-dealer and financial markets teams.”
In addition to working at several international law firms, she previously was an in-house counsel for Goldman Sachs and spent several years with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Trading and Markets.

Grafton is a graduate of McDaniel College (B.A., 1980), Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (J.D., 1985) and Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M., 1989). She is a member of the bars of New York and the District of Columbia.
