Within the health care industry, Ms. Funk works with clients on the formation and operation of clinically integrated networks, the buying and selling of provider practices, and other health care system transactions. “With growing consolidation in the hospital and health care sectors post-pandemic and the likelihood of vigorous antitrust enforcement under the Biden Administration, our clients are facing greater antitrust risks. Because health care antitrust issues are especially unique, it is critical to have an antitrust attorney who understands the nuances involved. Katie is just such an attorney,” said Bill Mathias, co-chair of the Baker Ober Health Law Group. “She is a strong complement to our health care regulatory and transactional practices. Katie will be a truly valued strategic advisor to our clients as they navigate the complex and changing antitrust landscape.”
Ms. Funk is a member of the American Bar Association Antitrust and Business Law Sections and a member of the Antitrust Section of the American Health Law Association.
