King & Spalding Adds Corporate Partner Kathleen Blaszak in Northern Virginia

King & Spalding announced today that Kathleen “Katie” Blaszak has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate, Finance and Investments (CFI) practice group. She is based in the firm’s Northern Virginia office. Blaszak was most recently a partner at Winston & Strawn.

Blaszak’s practice covers M&A, joint ventures and new venture formations, investments, strategic partnerships, and complex commercial transactions, as well as the negotiation of complex commercial contracts and general corporate matters. She represents clients across multiple sectors, including technology, media, telecommunications and automotive.

“Katie is a dynamic and motivated lawyer, and her corporate experience – especially in the communications and media industry – means she can tap directly into many of our CFI teams,” said Todd Holleman, head of the firm’s CFI practice group. “We also share a number of relationships and clients in common, so Katie is a great enhancement to our existing deal teams.”

Blaszak received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her J.D. from Washington & Lee School of Law.

“King & Spalding and the Northern Virginia office in particular have carved out a strong reputation and developed an exceptional tech-oriented practice,” Blaszak added. “I am looking forward to collaborating with the team and helping it continue its growth strategy.”
