Latham Expands Emerging Companies Practice in Washington, D.C.

Latham & Watkins LLP is pleased to announce that Parag Patel has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the Emerging Companies Practice, the Financial Institutions and Fintech Industry Groups, and as a member of the Corporate Department. Patel’s practice focuses on emerging payments, fintech, and related regulatory and transactional issues.  Patel joins Latham from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe in Washington, D.C.

Patel advises banks, non-bank lenders, payments and technology companies and their vendors on the complex regulatory and transactional issues related to financial services and associated technologies. He has significant experience guiding clients through issues arising under financial services, lending and payment regulations, as well as advising corporate and private equity clients in M&A contexts and other investments in fintech.
