Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce that seven former attorneys of Fishman Stewart Yamaguchi have joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. practice. Leading the group are Partners Christopher M. Tobin and Yoichiro Yamaguchi.
Chris Tobin specializes in high-technology intellectual property issues. In addition to having 18 years of experience in IP law firm environment, he previously served as a patent examiner in the electrical arts at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and as senior patent counsel for a large multinational corporation.
Yoichiro Yamaguchi is recognized for his knowledge in Japanese intellectual property law and has testified at trials as an expert witness. Mr. Yamaguchi began his career examining patent applications as an examiner in the electrical field and later working as an appeal examiner at the Board of Appeals in the Japanese Patent Office. He currently advises and counsels many Japanese companies regarding patents, trademarks, trade secret matters, copyrights, licensing and infringement matters.
