Morris, Manning & Martin Adding to Litigation Team in D.C.

Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP is continuing to add depth to its already busy litigation practice in its Washington D.C. office. Daniel I. Prywes joins the firm as a Litigation partner. He was previously with Bryan Cave, LLP.

“We are wholly committed to growing our D.C. presence. Our clients want a full-service office here and we are going to give them just that,” suggested Louise M. Wells, Managing Partner. “For us, a well-rounded office includes our three bases – corporate, real estate and litigation. Dan brings us additional litigation depth and valuable trial experience. We are very pleased he has joined us.”

Prywes has a diverse litigation practice. He has represented technology companies, trade associations, universities, government contractors, distributors, telecommunications firms, retailers, energy firms, financial institutions, individuals, and others. He has handled numerous contract and employment disputes, as well as disputes involving many other legal areas (including antitrust, securities, whistleblower defense, intellectual property, non-compete restrictions, partnerships, government contracts, and banking). Prywes has litigated in state and federal trial and appellate courts, state and federal administrative agencies, arbitration panels, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Morris, Manning & Martin focused on growing its D.C. presence in the later-half of the recession. Adding to an insurance base, it has added exceptional attorneys focused on international trade, commercial real estate, lending, corporate M&A, funds and alternative investments, and litigation. With just a handful of attorneys a few years ago, the office has grown to just over 30 lawyers. In late 2013, Morris Manning & Martin’s litigation practice expanded when Bonnie Hochman Rothell started the commercial litigation practice in the D.C. office adding to the already established international trade and insurance litigation practices. The D.C. litigation team has already expanded to numerous associates and partners. MMM has every intention of continuing to grow in D.C. by adding leading attorneys from multiple practice areas.

“I am excited to have Dan join our litigation team,” offered Litigation Partner Bonnie Hochman Rothell. “He is a great complement to our group and will allow us to expand our practice even further.”

“If you combine nice people with top-notch talent, you get Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. That’s what attracted me,” said Prywes. “For me, MMM is a triple-play: great lawyers, a thriving litigation practice, and a firm that puts clients first.”
