Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that Brandon Bortner, a respected securities and capital markets lawyer, has joined the firm as a partner, based in Washington, D.C. He joins from Latham. Mr. Bortner’s arrival adds further momentum to the outstanding performance and growth of the firm’s global Securities and Capital Markets practice.

Mr. Bortner focuses his practice on capital markets transactions, public and private financings, and public company representation, including with respect to SEC reporting obligations and corporate governance matters. On capital markets matters, he regularly advises issuers, investors, sponsors, and investment banks in public and private equity-based financings, as well as debt and hybrid corporate finance transactions, including convertible securities, restructurings, and other financing transactions. Mr. Bortner also has extensive experience with alternative financings, including PIPEs, tax-advantaged IPO structures, at-the-market programs, convertible and non-convertible preferred stock, and investment grade and high-yield debt securities.
