Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Greg Larkin joined the Private Investment Funds practice as a partner, resident in the Washington, D.C. office. Larkin comes to the firm from Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in Washington.

Larkin focuses his practice on providing regulatory and compliance advice to financial services firms, particularly investment advisers and sponsors of private investment funds and other pooled investment vehicles. He works primarily on regulatory issues related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940 regarding investment adviser registration, regulation and reporting, private fund formation, SEC examinations, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions.

Larkin is the tenth Private Investment Funds partner to join the firm this year, following the arrivals of Adam Sussman, David Wagner, Michael Aluko, and Karen Chao in New York, Zee Ahmedani in Los Angeles, Joachim Kayser and Sebastian Bruchwitz in Frankfurt, and Phil Culhane and Elyn Xing in Hong Kong.
