Global law firm White & Case has expanded its Global Commercial Litigation Practice with the arrival of Tara Lee as a partner in Washington, DC. She joins the Firm from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where she was co-chair of the national trial practice.
“Tara is a nationally recognized first-chair trial lawyer, with strong client relationships and an impressive track record on high-stakes litigations and investigations,” said Glenn Kurtz, Head of White & Case’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice. “Her arrival further expands our litigation capabilities on the ground in Washington, DC, which will benefit our clients.”
Lee’s practice focuses on complex multijurisdictional disputes, class actions, white collar/qui tam prosecutions and investigations. She brings significant experience advising clients operating in emerging or unstable markets, and has previously testified as an expert witness on extraterritorial jurisdiction before the US Senate Judiciary Committee. She also has particular expertise in leading sexual harassment investigations and litigation.
Lee has substantial experience across a variety of industries including the defense, education, sports, media and telecommunications sectors.
“Strengthening our disputes capabilities is a focus of our US growth strategy,” said Heather McDevitt, partner and a member of White & Case’s Executive Committee. “Tara is a dynamic and highly regarded litigator with a skill set that complements our existing practice. She is an important addition in a time when our disputes practices are in high demand.”
